Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Lisa Rister

Dr. Lisa Rister (formerly Hanson) received her undergraduate training in chemistry and microbiology from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. After transferring to Northwestern University Health Sciences in Bloomington, Minnesota, she completed her internship and received her Doctorate of Chiropractic.

As a part of her training, she obtained additional clinical hours in radiology and experience in pediatrics, sports medicine, and chiropractic research. She has also completed postgraduate studies in acupuncture, incorporating this valuable tool in her current practice.

Dr. Rister is licensed to practice in both Texas and Canada (inactive). She maintains a diverse practice, dealing with family and pediatric care, sports injuries, and many chronic and difficult cases, including the management of autoimmune disorders, arthritis, and Fibromyalgia.

She is an active resident of The Woodlands, serving as a member of various local and business organizations. Along with volunteering for many charities, she serves on the Board of Regents for the Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas.

Dr. Dawn Schwab

After completing her undergraduate studies in biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology, Dr. Dawn Schwab attended Texas Chiropractic College, where she received her Doctorate in Chiropractic. During her studies, she completed an orthopedic surgical rotation at Hermann Hospital and an internship at the Texas Chiropractic College Public Clinic in Pasadena.

Upon receiving her doctorate, she entered a private practice in Houston, maintaining a broad-based family practice. During her years of private practice, Dr. Schwab continued studies in rehabilitation of injuries and the treatment of aging and disabled patients. Her experience in treating chronic conditions and her affinity for helping patients of all ages makes her a popular speaker for schools and civic organizations.

Dr. Schwab is licensed to practice in Texas and Washington State (inactive). She has been a resident of Houston all her life and has practiced in The Woodlands since January of 2000. She is active in her community and serves as a member of several business, educational, and civic organizations. She serves on the Board of Regents for the Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas.
